This Policy explains how Techflu collects, holds, adjusts and refunds refundable security deposits and how damage, loss, theft or missing accessories are assessed.
For B2C rentals, the customer must pay a refundable security deposit equal to two months' rent, unless a different amount is shown at checkout.
The deposit is collected to protect Techflu against:
The refundable security deposit is not monthly rent. It will not be automatically adjusted against monthly rental invoices unless Techflu approves such adjustment in writing or under a specific policy.
Monthly rent must be paid separately on the applicable due date.
The deposit may be collected at checkout before KYC review. Payment of deposit does not guarantee order approval or delivery.
If the order is rejected before delivery, the deposit will be refunded as per the Cancellation, Return and Refund Policy.
The deposit will be refunded after:
Normal wear and tear means minor signs of ordinary use that do not affect device functionality, safety, resale value or future rental use.
Examples may include:
Normal wear and tear will not usually result in deposit deduction.
The customer may be charged for damage beyond normal wear and tear, including:
The customer must return all accessories provided at delivery, including:
Missing accessories may be deducted from the deposit at replacement cost or as per Techflu's internal damage matrix.
If the device is lost or stolen, the customer must immediately inform Techflu and cooperate with recovery, police complaint, insurance or legal process.
The customer may be liable for:
Techflu may adjust unpaid rent, late fees or overdue charges from the refundable security deposit. If the deposit is insufficient, the customer must pay the remaining balance.
At return, Techflu may conduct physical inspection, technical inspection, serial number verification, accessory count, device condition photography, functionality check, damage report and internal approval.
The customer may request a summary of deductions, if any.
Damage charges should be reasonable and based on repair estimate, replacement cost, authorised technician assessment, market value, part cost, labour cost and device condition before delivery and at return.
If the customer disputes a deduction, the customer may raise a support ticket within the prescribed number of days of receiving the deduction summary. Techflu will review the dispute and respond within a reasonable time.
Techflu ensures that deposit deductions and damage charges are fair, reasonable, evidence-based and proportionate.
